British gay men shun condoms

One-third of gay men in England didn't use a condom the last time they had sex. This is according to the results of an unprecedented survey conducted by the association GMFA, which polled 3,000 gay men. Some of them are mistakenly convinced that PrEP is a valid alternative to a condom. PrEP is a preventive treatment against Aids that has divided the international scientific community. The British government has in fact banned the sale of it. But this alarming statistic takes us back in time to 1980, when ignorance and miseducation about sex helped to spread HIV, causing the deaths of hundreds of young gay victims.
